Cute Christmas Decorations

If you have any "Fast Food" toys, then you have the makings for a cute Christmas Tree.  When my son was little we acquired an abundance of "Happy Meal" toys, etc.  Yes, we went to Mickey D's ALOT.

I took a glue gun and some gold threat.  I glue the thread to the toys and had instant Christmas Tree decorations.  Cost was a couple of dollars for supplies compared to what it would cost to buy decorations.

Pancake Batter

When I make pancakes for my family, I always have extra batter left over.  After we eat, I will cook up the remaining pancakes and freeze them.  This works great for a busy school morning breakfast.  Just pop them in the microwave for about a minute on each side.  My son loves pancakes, and I love this because I don't have to buy ready made pancakes now. He gets what he wants, and I save money.

WHITE VINEGAR

Most all of us have heard that vinegar makes a wonderful cleaning solution.  I honestly had no idea just how many uses it had until I visited organizedhome.com.  I pretty much always scoffed at the idea of using vinegar because of the smell.  Well, the odor goes away when vinegar dries.  It also absorbs odors, instead of masking them like so many spray, and liquid solutions tend to do.

I must tell you, we are talking about "WHITE" vinegar here.  Don't use anything like "Apple Cider" vinegar to clean with because it could discolor your walls, counter-tops, tile, floors, etc.

I was amazed at the many uses for this little cheap "wonder" bottle.  You can clean your bathroom sink, tub, tile, grout, floors, kitchen cabinets, back-splash, and stove.  It can also be used as a fabric softener in your clothes, instead of using expensive dryer sheets or bottled softeners.

Just so I can say that I know what I am talking about, I mixed half vinegar, and half water in a spray bottle, and cleaned my bathroom with it.  It really did a good job of getting the soap scum out of my tub, and makeup out of my sink. (Opppps, that would be the mess I made in the sink this morning.)

I can't smell the vinegar as I walk in my bathroom now.  I would say that it did an excellent job of cleaning, and instead of me needing toilet cleaner, bathtub cleaner and mirror cleaner, I can use just one bottle of vinegar and save a lot of money.
